Thank you for making a difference in the lives of others!
You are different than 90% of people in the world and likely more, but all I definitely know about you right now is that you are starting a business in the hopes of making money doing what you love, changing lives. And, that’s kind of strange to most people.
Only 50-100 years ago, starting a business was the standard thing to do. Most people started their own business, farm, or found Some Way to feed their families.
There weren’t massive companies that employed tens of thousands of people, offering health care and stock options. That’s a newer trend. But, we grow up in the surroundings we have and we get to thinking that’s the only way.
We’ve grown up being taught that having a 40 hour a week job is the only sure and safe way to go.
Entrepreneurs do not buy that! We go start businesses. We create something out of nothing and give value to the world as we do. And as a coach, speaker, or writer you are an entrepreneur. AND you do more than most businesses; you make people’s lives better every day.
So, YOU are unique, you’re starting a business, and you’re changing the world. Awesome! Congratulations and Thanks!
Why doesn’t everyone do this? You already know… It’s scary. There’s a lot to know and get handled. And the truth is, you can’t be expected to know how to do it all. (And yes, I know you expect to be able to know it all.)
So, here’s the advice: Do what you know how to do well and find people to get the other bits done.
Don’t like sales? Find a cheery, talkative, go-getter.
Don’t like accounting? Get yourself someone that loves the numbers.
Don’t want to do market research? A virtual assistant is an easy call away.
Don’t beat your head against the wall OR beat yourself up about not getting it all done. There’s a lot to do! Get some help and get some coaching.
