My question was, “All the time?” She said that sometimes, like with her parents for example, she acted a little different. If you don’t finish you probably [...] When I start a project, I just naturally start with the end in mind. What will success look like? Who will be there? How will we celebrate? Who benefits? This includes lot’s of different sensory inputs so I get the feeling of success. That’s what pulls me forward when things get rough or annoying. I am driven [...] A traveler came upon a group of three hard-at-work stonemasons, and asked each in turn what he was doing. The first said, “I am sanding down this block of marble.” The second said, “I am preparing a foundation.” The third said, “I am building a cathedral.” This story has been repeated thousands of times, each with it’s own twist [...] I had just posted on Facebook about how sometimes people are afraid of doing things on their computers; about how often they’re afraid to push a button because they think they’ll blow it up somehow or wipe the hard drive in one click. I wrote advising people to stop being so afraid. It won’t bite you [...] Don’t let this happen to you! I love games. AND… I’m still struggling a bit with keeping them in perspective. A little time off for R&R, letting off steam, and killing bad guys is great. Just be aware of what you’re trading your time for. Once there was a person that had amazing ideas, fantastic flights of fancy, creative whims, and invented wondrous things but kept them all locked up inside. And there was a sibling that had some interesting ideas, not sensational or wildly creative necessarily, but workable. The difference is that the sibling spoke about the ideas, wrote them [...] “What do I want to do with my life?” It’s a really common question that I hear. And, people ask it as if someone else knows the answer. That perhaps it’s “out there” somewhere. Well, I am here to tell you, my friend…. You already know. It might not be on the tip of your tongue and you [...] The only things that can sway me off course or halt me in my tracks are the limitations of my own mind. The only way to fail is to quit. How much will a tree grow? Always, as much as it can. It knows no internal limits.
